A damaged iPhone 12 screen, for instance, will cost you $228 ($29 plus the $199 lump-sum plan fee) to repair if you have AppleCare+ instead of the $279 everyone else pays. If you’re prone to breaking or losing your phone, AppleCare+ could save you money, even if you own an older iPhone model.
